Freaks and revelations

Hurwin, Davida
When I read the description for this book, I knew it wasn't going to be good, but I read it just to see how bad it is. It's bad. The book follows two characters, a gay thirteen year old on the streets, and a seventeen year old nazi. It's stupid because most of the chapters are about the nazi, and they shouldn't be. The actions of nazis cannot be justified, and they should not be justified. By writing a book about a nazi's childhood, you might start to sympathize with them. It's not good. Plus, the nazi is 'punk' a term used here loosely as real punks aren't nazis (just ask the Dead Kennedys) which just makes more people believe all punks are violent and terrible.
