Linda Wallace
Without Issue: Margaret of Austria
1999
1999
This is the second tapestry in a series, which centres on a relatively obscure fifteenth century woman. The reasons behind Margaret's obscurity are her childlessness and the historical peripheralization of her role to that of her contemporary male relations. To research her, Wallace was forced to glean most of her information from entries about Margaret's male relatives.
