Attenuation (92%)

Shawna Munro

Attenuation (92%)
2013

Attenuation (92%) is part of a larger series in which Shawna Munro explores the question: how much does she really know about her friends and family? She had various family and friends have their passport photos taken. Munro then turned the images into cross-stitch patterns. She created a questionnaire of 100 questions and attempted to answer them about that person, questions like – where were you born? What is your favourite food? What is the worst thing that ever happened to you? They then marked the questionnaire and whatever Munro failed to answer correctly was then left out of the final portrait by eliminating a percentage of the stitches.
