Knots Bouquet

Knots Bouquet
2013

Anouk Desloges believes everybody owns their obsessions; hers are those involving a research of what constitutes the essence of a being; of the inner, of the deep inside. She attempts to express what is mysterious and secret. The artworks she realize creates are about intimacy. As a subjective mode of existence, intimacy is a subtle notion, full of emotion and filled with imagination, at once vulnerable, fragile and precious.

According to different domains, the knot responds to multiple precepts and beliefs. From an esoteric perspective, its ambiguity is emphasized due to the fact that it "fixes" as much as it "detached". In psychoanalysis, it symbolizes madness and indicates blockages and limitations. Her concerns in this series are oriented towards concrete representations of some of these concepts which are at first abstract. The knot pattern is multiplied until the sum becomes a different shape, and a second level of reading is then perceived.
