In 2023, we celebrated anniversaries at two of our locations; the 100 years of the Carnegie Library Building in Hespeler and 5 years of discovery at the Old Post Office, created an award winning Multi-Sensory Room pilot project at Clemens Mill, conducted a community survey for our 2024-2027 Strategic Plan, and created the Little Seed Library for all locations.
Other highlights included:
- Receiving the Minister’s Award for Innovation and the Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Award for Arts & Culture
- 7,907 new memberships, an increase of 25%
- Welcomed new CEO, Chrissy Hodgins
- New collection and material launches
- 834,500+ materials checked out
- 9,589 children visited for school tours
- Eight (8) exhibitions featuring the work of 12 artists, including nine local or regional artists
