Crafty Fun at the Old Post Office

The Makerspace at the Old Post Office is a great place to make spooky decorations or elements for your costume. Have a ghoulishly good time using the laser cutter and the Cricut machine to make crafts at the Halloween Crafternoon on Sunday, October 20. 

If you'd prefer a frightfully fun time at home, place an order for our Take and Make Laser Pumpkin kits, with three layers of laser-cut pieces and instructions to complete this craft at home.

Frightfully Fantastic Events

Thrills and chills await on Friday, October 18 as we welcome the national bestselling author of #HorrorBookTok sensation, The Troop, Nick Cutter. The author discusses his new heart-pounding novel of terror, The Queen, with Andrew F. Sullivan. Fans of Nick Cutter can also discover similar reads filled with dread and psychological frights from our collection.

You won’t want to miss the earliest surviving film adaptation of Dracula. On Wednesday, October 30, enjoy the 1922 horror film Nosferatu at the Old Post Office. Take a trip back to the roaring ‘20’s and watch the movie the way it was originally viewed with a live musical performance. The silent film will be accompanied by The VOC Silent Film Harmonic.

Cambridge Art Galleries is also getting into the Halloween spirit with their Halloween Pumpkin Pop-Up Display, featuring the work of Cambridge-based artist, Greg Latimer, from October 21 to November 1 at Queen’s Square.
