Elizabeth Hewson's work engages the viewer through the use of quotidian and surreal imagery. Through this juxtaposition, strange and sometimes humorous images are created. A play on words in three dimensions, part scientific, part sculptural, this strange creature constitutes a double take. Wag the Dog asks “What would happen if a dog had two back-end?” and in pursuit of an answer to this question provides wisdom, more questioning, or at the very least, a smile.
