Idea Exchange, Preston Receives $135,000 from the Canada Community Revitalization Fund Idea Exchange has been awarded $135,000 in funding through the Government of Canada’s Canada Community Revitalization Fund (CCRF) to improve accessibility and rejuvenate the current exterior at their Preston location.

Graphic novels and comic books are becoming ever more popular at our Queen’s Square location. The collection has been growing so much, it was recently moved to a larger space.

Hespeler is a close-knit community that loves to come together and celebrate. Idea Exchange now has vinyl records to check out. Celebrate the return of vinyl by borrowing a record to take home or relaxing with our in-house vinyl record listening station. Both are located on the second floor of Idea Exchange, Queen’s Square.

The Seed Library has grown...Idea Exchange, Preston has been the host location for Idea Exchange's Seed Library cabinet for many years. In past seasons, the Seed Library has provided  kits of seeds at other locations, including the One Seed, One Community selection.

Take the creative fun of a Cricut home with you! Members aged 13 or older can now borrow a Cricut Joy for at-home crafting. This compact smart cutting machine is as delightful as its name suggests, making design projects quick, convenient, and fun - a great addition to our Cricut Making services. Whether you’re creating cards, scrapbook accessories, stencils, or customized vinyl designs, the Cricut Joy can do it all.

From play-based activities to challenging hands-on resources, we invite members to take a broad approach to learning with children. Our Youth Services team has developed several unique collections to foster literacy and learning.The PlaySmarts collection highlights hands-on learning resources with different developmental focuses for kids from birth to age 13. From learning to count to learning to code, this collection will help make any educational experience fun!

One Seed, One Community Cambridge (OSOC Cambridge) is an initiative that unites the Cambridge and North Dumfries community in the shared experience of growing nutritious food and saving seeds. Created by four local organizations: Cambridge Food Bank, rare Charitable Research Reserve, Seeds of Diversity, and Idea Exchange, OSOC Cambridge is an annual program that offers free seeds, community connections, and the experience of growing and sharing food.
