The Seed Library has grown...Idea Exchange, Preston has been the host location for Idea Exchange's Seed Library cabinet for many years. In past seasons, the Seed Library has provided  kits of seeds at other locations, including the One Seed, One Community selection.

Take the creative fun of a Cricut home with you! Members aged 13 or older can now borrow a Cricut Joy for at-home crafting. This compact smart cutting machine is as delightful as its name suggests, making design projects quick, convenient, and fun - a great addition to our Cricut Making services. Whether you’re creating cards, scrapbook accessories, stencils, or customized vinyl designs, the Cricut Joy can do it all. To get started:

Welcome to the Processing department, we (Heidi and Vanessa) work behind the scenes to bring Idea Exchange members their favourite library materials! One of the most satisfying parts of our job is unpacking weekly deliveries of fresh new books, video games, DVDs (and more!) from multiple vendors. We ensure each item is correctly labelled and coded before it heads to its home location or the hold shelf.

From play-based activities to challenging hands-on resources, we invite members to take a broad approach to learning with children. Our Youth Services Librarian has developed several unique collections to foster literacy and learning.

One Seed, One Community Cambridge (OSOC Cambridge) is an initiative that unites the Cambridge and North Dumfries community in the shared experience of growing nutritious food and saving seeds. Created by four local organizations: Cambridge Food Bank, rare Charitable Research Reserve, Seeds of Diversity, and Idea Exchange, OSOC Cambridge is an annual program that offers free seeds, community connections, and the experience of growing and sharing food.

The Creative Studios at the Old Post Office is your place to go for out-of-this-world exploration, learning, and fun. Play, learn, make music, and discover all that this interactive, open theatre space has to offer.

The Old Post Office has a hidden gem on the second level terrace.  Our terrace is brought to life by a green roof, creating the perfect Zen community space for you to enjoy the outdoors and take in one of the best views in downtown Galt.
