What’s the Buzz? It’s Pollinator Week

As one of the founding organizations of Bee City Cambridge, Cambridge Public Library is committed to supporting pollinator health in the region in many ways.

What's Pollinator Week?

Pollinator Week is held annually in June to celebrate and promote awareness of the importance of pollinators such as bees, birds, bats, moths, and other insects, and what they do for our ecosystem.

Celebrating Pollinator Week at Your Library

From June 16 to 22, you will find displays at each library location with collection materials to help you plant a garden that helps feed native pollinators, learn about pollinators and their importance, and more.

A great way to help pollinators is to plant a pollinator habitat with free seeds from the Seed Library, or other local native plant sources. If you are interested in an example of a pollinator habitat, visit the Preston location to enjoy the one in the community garden.

Free seeds of native plants that support pollinators will also be available at every location while supplies last.

Get involved in the buzz of Pollinator Week by taking the Pollinator Pledge and participating in the 2025 Pollinator Week Bioblitz, documenting the diversity of pollinators in your area and across North America.
